Football Cupcakes
Score extra points with these football cupcakes. Chocolate in green baking cups make you feel like you are on the field with your team!
What you need:
Reynolds® Baking Cups (Green Party)
1 package (18.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
1 container (16 oz.) ready-to-spread white frosting
Green food coloring
48 small pretzel rods
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
24 Caramel candies
1 bag (14 oz.) shredded coconut
Instructions:
PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
PLACE Reynolds Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside.
PREPARE cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes. Spoon batter into baking cups.
BAKE following package directions (17 to 23 minutes). Cool.
- Tint frosting and coconut green.
- Frost cupcakes and roll in coconut; set aside.
Make Goal Posts and Footballs
- Line cookie sheet with wax paper
- Set aside 24 pretzel rods for base of goal post. Cut each remaining stick into three 1 inch pieces. Score with a knife to get clean, consistent breaks.
- Shape caramel candies into footballs.
- Melt white chocolate chips following package directions. Spoon into zipper bag and cut off a small corner.
- Pipe a dot of white chocolate on each end of one small pretzel piece. Attach an additional small piece to each end, making a "U" shape on the wax paper.
- Pipe a dot of white chocolate in the middle of the bottom of the "U" shape and attach a long thin pretzel to complete the goal post.
- Place in the refrigerator until set, about 5 minutes.
- While goal posts are setting, pipe thin lines on top of footballs as the strings.
- Carefully peel the goal posts from the wax paper and insert into the top of each cupcake.
- Place the football in the coconut grass.
