Groundhog Day Cupcakes
Will he see his shadow or not? Either way Mr. Groundhog looks ravishing in his red baking cup that matches his nose.
What you need:
Reynolds® Baking Cups (Red Foil)
1 package (18.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
1 container (12 oz.) ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
24 fun-size chocolate bars
8 chocolate cookies, crushed
96 mini brown candy-coated chocolate candies
12 mini red candy-coated chocolate candies
1 tube (4.25 ounces) white decorating frosting
1 tube (4.25 ounces) black decorating frosting
24 white heart sprinkles
Instructions:
PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
PLACE Reynolds Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside.
PREPARE cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes. Spoon batter into baking cups.
BAKE following package directions (17 to 23 minutes). Cool.
SPREAD the top of each cupcake with chocolate frosting.
MAKE the groundhog
- Place a fun size chocolate bar into the frosting, short end down.
- Sprinkle with some crushed chocolate cookies for the dirt.
- Pipe some chocolate frosting and add the mini brown candies as the cheeks, and ears.
- Cut a mini red candy in half and add as a nose.
- Pipe white frosting for the eyes and black frosting for the pupils.
- Add a small white heart sprinkle as the teeth.
