Celebrate 2010 Cupcakes
Celebrate New Year's Eve with stars, sparkles and confetti! The chocolate cappuccino cupcake will ensure that you're awake to see the countdown to the new decade!
What you need:
Reynolds® Baking Cups (Silver Foil)
1 package (18.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
3 tablespoons instant coffee
1 container (16 oz.) ready-to-spread white frosting
Black fondant
Gold and silver sugar sparkles
Decorating tips: #1M & 2
Instructions:
PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
PLACE Reynolds Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside.
PREPARE cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes, adding 3 tablespoons instant coffee before mixing. Spoon batter into baking cups.
BAKE following package directions. Cool.
USE decorating tip #1M to pipe frosting onto cupcakes.
SPRINKLE cupcakes with gold and silver sugar sparkles.
MAKE Stars:
- Roll-out black fondant.
- Cut a star shapes with small cookie cutter.
- Write 2010 on stars with decorating tip #2.
- Place stars on top of cupcakes.
MAKE Confetti Curls:
- Cut very thin strips of fondant approximately 2" long.
- Wrap around a skewer and pull skewer out,let dry.
- Place 5 to 6 confetti curls on each cupcake.
